Positive Rosetta Stone Reviews

Friday, January 6th, 2012

The Rosetta Stone reviews are not all bad. There are also good feedback about some parts of the program. One good thing about the latest version of the Rosetta Stone software is that they now offer a live class with a teacher who is a native speaker. According to one language learner, the teachers were very good and very patient. There were times when the language learner was having a hard time and tried to speak in English – the student’s mother tongue and was not the language they were studying, but the teacher was very professional and did not revert to English, instead continued to explain in the language the student was learning. This is to keep with the language learning program of Rosetta Stone. The first couple of classes would be one-on-one two-hour classes but the following classes would be in groups. Needless to say, the language learner felt that the one-on one classes were more helpful to him than the group classes.

Visual Link Spanish Solves the Language Problem

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

I’ve found the most amazing job. It suits me perfectly and it’s exactly what I’ve always dreamed of. The salary is great, the title is great, and I’d be doing what I love more than anything, which is to work in fashion. Only problem is, the job is in Spain and I live in Los Angeles. I have no idea how to make this work. First of all, I’d have to learn Spanish. But that’s not even an issue, that’s the easiest part of the equation. I could simply buy those visual link Spanish cd’s to assist me in learning the vocabulary. My bigger problem is how I’m going to rearrange my life to be able to take this job. I’m a divorcee and I have two kids who live with me. I would love to take them to Spain with me, and I think that they would really enjoy the experience, but what about their dad? I’m almost positive that he would not tolerate me taking them out of the country.

3 Reasons To Choose The Right Study Abroad Program

Monday, August 9th, 2010

One of the most important factors student must consider is to be able to choose the right study abroad programs for them. Since there are various types, locations, structures and requirements, it should be worth the time and effort to find the program that will meet both the student’s personal and academic needs. Here are 3 reasons you should consider when choosing the right study abroad program for you:

  1. Academic – first and foremost, the program should be relevant or related to the student’s career choice and goals. Most students choose a program based on the destination that they wanted to see. For example, a student might want to study in France and yet, he did not take any French language class. Then it will be a little hard for him to cope with the culture or the nature of the people since he cannot understand them and he may not be able to express him.
  2. Financial – a student should be reminded that an international academic experience can be considered as a valuable investment when it comes to both his education and career. Students should also know that there are several options and less expensive ways to be able to travel and take time off of college than actually paying for a semester just to study abroad. That is why it is important to make sure if the student really wants to study abroad or just want to have some vacation.
  3. Student characteristic – this should also be considered when choosing the right program. As a student, it should be known that there is no perfect program but there are various programs designed for various students and the outcome depend on the student himself. This is the reason why the characteristic of the student should be considered before choosing a particular study abroad program.
